Why health testing matters to us
Our unwavering goal has always been the well-being of our dogs. We go above and beyond because we believe it is our responsibility to care for all aspects of our dogs' health, including those that are not visible during a normal examination. The more knowledge we have about each dog, the more educated decisions we can make for the future of our breeding program and the puppies we produce. Exceeding breed recommendations
Many breeders discuss health testing, but SpotWise Dalmatians' approach to health and standards stands out. We choose to go above the minimum recommendations set forth by the Dalmatian Club of America. Their recommendations include BAER hearing, hips, and one elective test (eyes or thyroid). We believe you shouldn't have to choose, so we complete all elective tests, all required tests, and we also add Hyperuricosuria (HUU) testing, cardiac evaluations, and full genetic panels. These are all crucial aspects we consider when breeding a Dalmatian, ensuring the healthiest possible lineage.
Our promise to future families
For families considering a puppy from us, it is our utmost priority to provide comprehensive care from feeding plans to training and socialization. Many factors contribute to a happy, healthy dog, including behavioral and environmental situations. We want our puppy families to know we are always here for anything that may arise, whether it's three months or ten years down the road.
